Our campsite is simple, scenic and a little bit rough around the edges, in the best possible way. Facilities are basic but characterful, with toilets, hot showers, washing-up space and easy access to the shore, all set around the old pier and boat house at Lunga.
Come for the sea views, the sunsets, the space, the wildlife and the feeling of being properly away from it all. This is not a polished holiday park, it is a rustic coastal campsite in a very special place.

Each part of the campsite has its own character. Some pitches are all about the open sea views, some are closer to the pier and facilities, and others are better suited to campervans, motorhomes or larger vehicles. Prices vary by pitch type.

Our Corryvreckan View pitches look west towards the famous Corryvreckan, the narrow sea channel between Jura and Scarba, home to one of the world’s largest natural whirlpools. These are some of the most scenic spots on the site, with open views across the water and islands.
They are a little further from the main facilities, around a 100m walk, and there is no electric hook-up in this area. There are grass spaces for tents, gravel spots suitable for small campervans, roof tents and small caravans, plus one space that can take a larger motorhome.
Prices: £27 per night for a tent pitch or £30 per night for a live-in vehicle. All pitches include 2 people, it’s an additional £12.50 per extra adult or £3 per extra child under 16. Extra kids aged 5 and Under are free!

Corryreckan View Pitches
Fillan’s Field Pitches
Fillan’s Field is a simple, grassy camping area set just back from the shore. It still has a lovely coastal feel, with the sea close by, but it is not directly shoreside like the Corryvreckan View pitches.
These pitches are around a 75m walk from the main facilities, and there is no electric hook-up in this area. Fillan’s Field is suitable for tents, small campervans, roof tents and similar live-in vehicles, but not motorhomes.
Prices: £23.50 per night for a tent pitch or £27 per night for a campervan/live-in vehicle. All pitches include 2 people, it’s an additional £12.50 per extra adult or £3 per extra child under 16. Extra kids aged 5 and Under are free!
Pier Brae Pitches
Pier Brae sits slightly above the pier, with easy access to the main facilities, roughly a 40m walk away. It is a lovely, sheltered part of the site, looking west towards Shuna, Luing and the surrounding islands.
There are a few different pitch options here. Some standard live-in vehicle pitches have optional electric hook-up, though these are not necessarily the pitches with the very best views. The £30 Corryvreckan/island-view live-in vehicle pitches have beautiful views out towards the Corryvreckan and the isles, but do not have electric hook-up. There are also simple tent pitches available in this area.
Prices: £25 per night for a tent pitch, £27.50 per night for a standard live-in vehicle pitch, £30 per night for a Corryvreckan/island-view live-in vehicle pitch, with electric hook-up available on selected standard pitches for an extra £5 per night. All pitches include 2 people, it’s an additional £12.50 per extra adult or £3 per extra child under 16. Extra kids aged 5 and Under are free!
Bay View Boatyard
Motorhome Pitches
Our Bay View Boatyard pitches sit right by Lunga Bay and are best suited to live-in vehicles, including motorhomes, larger caravans, campervans and roof tents. This part of the site has lovely views across the bay, but it has a more practical, working-shore feel, with old boats, pontoons and boatyard character nearby.
These are the best pitches for larger vehicles and those needing a bit more space or electric hook-up. They are not the prettiest or softest part of the campsite, but they are useful, spacious and well placed for the bay and facilities.
Please note - we have no cassette emptying facilities on site!
Prices: £30 per night for a live-in vehicle pitch, with electric hook-up available for an extra £5 per night. All pitches include 2 people, it’s an additional £12.50 per extra adult or £3 per extra child under 16. Extra kids aged 5 and Under are free!
Facilities
Facilities at Lunga are simple, rustic and full of character. Campers have access to toilets, hot showers, washing-up space and a covered pier-side area for sitting, sheltering and gathering. Nothing here is polished or overdeveloped, but that is part of the charm: stone walls, old boat-house buildings, sea air, open views and a real working-shore feel.
The pier and surrounding spaces are also available for private hire, small events, workshops, food nights and relaxed coastal gatherings. If you are looking for somewhere a bit different, with sea views and a memorable west coast atmosphere, get in touch and tell us what you have in mind.
